Installation of a generator in the cellar of a listed building

Swimming pool Brussels, built in 1949 by architect Maurice Nieuwenhuyse

In order to prevent damaging the floor tiles inside the listed building, plastic plates and multiple profiles were installed in order to spread the load. Once the floor had been opened up and the support beams had been removed, the generator could be placed in the cellar using a combined hoisting porch crane that had been tailor-made for the job.
